Sunset (also known as 'Inlet') was the first area to be developed for tourism. It hosted a succession of hotels and amusement areas, including a public beach and the region's largest bowling alley. Depicted here is the lakeside Oneonta Pavillion, built in 1922. The pavillion was a popular venue for swing bands of the day.
